Residential Substance Use Treatment
Portland, Maine
Rise Recovery serves adult men, ages 18 and older, who are seeking structured residential support for substance use recovery.
Medical stability is required for admission, and the program is best suited for individuals who are ready to engage in a consistent routine, participate in group-centered programming, and work toward meaningful, long-term change.
A Foundation For Change.
Rise Recovery was created to offer adult men a structured, licensed residential program where recovery is approached with consistency, accountability, and respect. Our focus is on helping individuals stabilize, build practical life skills, and develop a strong foundation for long-term independence.
Our program provides 24-hour staffing and evidence-informed care in a safe, supportive residential environment. Treatment integrates individualized counseling with intentional, group-centered programming, allowing residents to engage in meaningful clinical work while benefiting from peer accountability, connection, and shared responsibility.
Rise Recovery operates through a clearly defined, phase-based model. Expectations and privileges increase as residents demonstrate growth, leadership, and readiness, supporting real-world preparation, healthier family relationships, and successful community reintegration.
Rise Recovery is guided by a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals and an active Board of Advisors. Together, the Rise team provides clinical oversight, operational integrity, and a shared commitment to ethical, person-centered care.
Our Program
Treatment is structured around clear stages of growth. Residents move through a phase-based model that begins with stabilization and progresses toward independence, responsibility, and long-term stability. Each phase builds on the last, allowing expectations and privileges to increase as accountability and readiness are demonstrated.
Four Phase Model
Life at Rise is structured and participation based. Residents are expected to engage fully in the routine of the program, take responsibility for shared expectations, and follow through on daily commitments. Life skills are practiced in real time, including cooking, cleaning, employment preparation, and building consistent routines that support independence.
Real Life Skills
Treatment is group centered, with an emphasis on peer accountability, shared responsibility, and mutual respect. Residents are also supported in reflective and expressive work, including written autobiography and creative outlets, while planning intentionally for what comes next – such as employment, family relationships, and reintegration into the community.
